I worked with Ann Arbor’s city government and UM’s Citizen Interaction Design team to explore opportunities for improving citizen engagement. Slack UX Analysis

Interaction Design

As a class assignment, I utilized Nielsen’s ten heuristics for user interface design to evaluate MPowered Entrepreneurship’s Slack workspace and voice my opinion on how organizations should view Slack. My report provides detailed information about Slack, conducting a heuristic evaluation, and Slack’s heuristic performance, and serves to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in Slack’s workspace. Quora Interaction Evaluation

Analysis of Online Communities

In another class assignment, I occupied Quora’s health community and analyzed the affordances of Quora, the interactions between users, and the design of Quora’s social Q&A platform. I argue in this paper that Quora’s algorithmic culture and architectural code hinder an user’s ability to provide thought-provoking answers because the platform makes too many assumptions about the user.
